One to One Consultations:
What can I expect when I book a consultation?
When you book your first consultation, I will ask you to complete a health questionnaire. If your appointment is for nutritional therapy, I will also request that you keep a 5 day food diary to be returned to me prior to the consulation.
What can I expect during a consultation?
I will enquire in depth about the relevant areas of your physical and emotional health, current symptoms, medication, diet, lifestyle, sleep and stress levels. I may also ask you for relevant blood test results and information about your family medical history.
I will explain the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms to help you understand how these factors impact your health. This helps you to make informed choices in the future. We will also discuss and agree on nutritonal and lifestyle changes. I may recommend nutritional supplements to support your specific needs. If you are taking medication I will first check any potential drug-nutrient interactions.
Following your consulation, I will provide you with a summary of my recommendations as well as supporting information to help you achieve successful results.
Sometimes laboratory testing is indicated to help to identify nutritional and physiological imbalances and to facilitate a more specifically targeted nutrition and supplement programme. When recomending a test I will always discuss with you the costs, benetifts and my reasons for recommending the test so that you can decide if you would like to go ahead. I may also refer you to your GP for the investigation of any potential underlying medical conditions.
I will enquire in depth about multiple aspects of your physical and emotional health, current symptoms, medication, diet, lifestyle, sleep and stress levels. I may also ask you for relevant blood test results and information about your family medical history. I will prescribe a homeopathic remedy(ies) which will be posted to you, or if it is urgent, I may ask you to purchase the remedy from a Homeopathic pharmacy. I may also make some nutritional and supplement recommendations if appropriate.
How many consultations will I need?
This depends on your individual state of health. Some people may only need a couple of consultations whereas other people, with more deep seated issues, may benefit from consultations over a longer period of time.
For Homeopathy I also offer acute appointments.
How much will I need to change my diet?
Sometimes people are reluctant to see a nutritional therapist as they worry that they will be put on restrictive diet which is difficult to carry out. My approach is to help you to make realistic changes to your diet so that it is varied, enjoyable and sustainable. The extent of change required will depend upon your individual state of health, however, sometimes even a few small changes can have a really positive effect.
Fees vary depending on the type and length of consultation. Please get in touch so that I can provide you with a personalised fee.
Acute appointments and family packages are also available.
